TERMS OF ENTRY
Effective: 10 September 2026
These are the conditions of coming to a KongQuest event: competitions, workshops, jams, festivals and gatherings, whether we run them ourselves or deliver them with a partner, a host association or a third-party provider.
They apply to everyone on site, in any capacity: spectators, participants and competitors. Being at the event means these terms are about you.
NATGAT XX is hosted by the NSW Parkour Association and powered by KongQuest. Where an event has a host association, that association runs the event and KongQuest runs the registration, the ticketing and the schedule behind it.
Three things govern an event, and they do different jobs:
- These Terms Of Entry set the conditions of being let in and of staying in.
- The Event Waiver covers the physical risk of parkour. Every registration records that you agreed to it, which version you agreed to, and when.
- The Code Of Conduct sets how people treat each other. It is published and maintained by the NSW Parkour Association and it applies at our events.
Your KongQuest account, your membership and any payment you make on the platform are governed separately, by the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
- Anyone taking part registers before they take part. Registration is per person and it is what puts you on the door list.
- Register with real details. The name, the date of birth and the emergency contact on your registration are what event staff work from if something goes wrong, so they need to be accurate and current.
- A registration belongs to the person named on it. To pass a paid entry to someone else, contact us and we will move it, so the door list stays true.
- Registering means you have read and agreed to these terms, the Event Waiver and the Code Of Conduct.
Spectators are welcome and, at NATGAT XX, spectating is free and needs no registration. Come and watch.
Spectating still means agreeing to these terms and to the Code Of Conduct while you are on site, and it still means following event staff, because a spectator standing beside a run-up carries a real share of the risk. Stay behind the marked lines, keep the landing areas clear, and give the athletes room.
- Anyone under 16 registers with a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms and to the Event Waiver on their behalf and stays contactable for the whole event.
- Some sessions and some competition categories carry their own minimum age. Where one applies, it is stated on that session or category, and it is the one that governs.
- A parent or guardian remains responsible for supervising their own child at the event. Event staff run the event, and they are not a childminding service.
- Check in when you arrive. Participants receive a wristband, and the wristband is what shows staff you are registered, so keep it on for the whole event.
- Follow event staff, marshals and first aiders. They can open an area, close one, pause a session or stop a run, and their call stands at the time it is made.
- Train and move inside the areas set up for it, and inside your own ability. You choose your own lines and your own limits, and you keep responsibility for those choices.
- Tell a staff member if you are injured, if you see someone else injured, or if you see something on site that has become unsafe.
- Arrive fit to take part. Anyone affected by alcohol or drugs will be asked to sit the event out.
Our events are for everybody: every level, every age, every body. Treat the other people there, the venue and the neighbourhood the way you would want a visiting community to treat yours.
Event staff can ask a person to stop an activity or to leave the event, with no refund, where that person puts somebody at risk, ignores a direct instruction from staff, damages the venue, or breaches the Code Of Conduct. That call belongs to the event staff and the host association on the day.
If something happens to you at an event, tell a staff member on the day where you can, and contact us afterwards either way. We would rather know.
- A competition publishes its own format, categories, eligibility and judging before entries close, and those published rules govern that competition.
- Enter the category that fits you. Where a category has an age or an eligibility condition, entering is confirming that you meet it.
- Judges’ decisions on the day are final. Where a scoring or an administrative error is raised with the organisers before results are declared, the organisers will look at it.
- A competition that involves submitting a clip is covered by Photography And Filming, which sets out what happens to what you send us.
- Schedules, sessions, venues, judges and running order can move. We publish changes on the event page and, where we hold your email, by email.
- Our events run outdoors. Weather, a venue closure, a public health direction or a safety call can shorten, move, postpone or cancel a session or a whole event.
- If we cancel a paid event outright and do not run it, you get a refund of what you paid us for it. If an event is postponed, your entry moves to the new date, and you can ask for a refund instead.
- Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.
Bring what you need and keep it with you. We do not provide secure storage, and we are not responsible for personal property that is lost, damaged or taken at an event, except to the extent the law makes us responsible.
We photograph and film at our events, and entrants in some competitions post their own clips publicly. Photography And Filming sets out where that footage goes, what happens for anyone under 16, and how to ask us to take something down.
Registering gives us your details so we can run the event: the door list, the categories, the schedule, safety and first aid, and the emails about the event you registered for. The Privacy Policy covers what we hold, how long we hold it and how to get a copy or ask us to delete it.
When we change these terms, the effective date at the top changes with them, and the version that applies to your event is the one published when you registered.
